We process only the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services. Audio recording permission (RECORD_AUDIO) is strictly utilized solely for on-device real-time Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) visualizer rendering; no voice or microphone audio is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server.

To operate our free streaming services, we integrate trusted third-party SDKs and APIs. These third-party providers process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

4. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information

• Member Account Data: Deleted permanently from the database without delay upon account deletion/withdrawal (unless statutory retention is mandated by law).
• Guest Session Data: Destroyed immediately upon session termination or app exit.
• Playback History: Permanently purged immediately when the user executes "Clear All History" or deletes individual records within the App.
• Destruction Method: Electronic records are irreversibly wiped using secure, unrecoverable technical methods.

Users may exercise the following rights at any time:

• Access and Modify Information: You can view and edit your username and password via App [Settings] → [Edit Profile].
• Account & Data Deletion (Permanent Withdrawal): You can permanently delete your account and all associated activity records (favorites, likes, history) directly within the App [Settings] → [Delete Account] or by emailing our Privacy Team.
• Opt-out of Push Notifications: You can enable or disable notifications at any time via App [Settings] → [Podcast Notification] toggle or your device OS settings.

• One-Way Cryptographic Password Hashing: User passwords are encrypted and stored using irreversible salted hashes.

• Dual Token Authentication: Strict access control via JWT Dual Token (Access Token & Rotating Refresh Token) architecture.

8. Streaming Content Copyright & Notice and Take-Down Policy

Umbrella.Hz functions as an internet directory indexing and tuner player that enables users to discover and stream publicly available audio endpoints broadcasted over the internet by respective broadcasters and podcast publishers.

• We do not record, store, host, or resell any streaming audio files on our servers. All copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual property rights remain with their respective broadcasters and content creators.
• Notice & Take-Down Requests: If you are a broadcaster or copyright owner and wish to modify your stream URL or have your station excluded from our directory index, please email us with station details and ownership verification. Upon request receipt and factual verification, we will promptly exclude or update the channel within 7 to 14 business days.

9. Amendments and Notification of Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in legal, regulatory, or technical requirements. Any significant revisions will be announced via our website or in-app notices at least 7 days prior to taking effect.
